The Kindy 500

The Hooper Elementary Kindergarten did such a fun program. They sang a bunch of patriotic songs (they had been learning everything USA related for weeks. William was WAY into knowing EVERYTHING about the USA and our past and our pride!) And then each kid was supposed to bring a cardboard car and they drove their cars to different places in the school that were set up as USA landmarks. They visited the Capital, Jefferson Memorial, Lincoln came to talk to them, and a few more spots. William had the greatest time. He wanted to make his own car, so even though the pride in me wanted to make his car look super cool, I decided to let him do most of the work and he was very proud of his USA car. It was a great day!
